SIR G (Georg Lenhardt) is the drummer and a constant member of the german Rock/Metal band DAR (Die Apokalyptischen Reiter). Presently the band is promoting the new album MORAL & WAHNSINN, which can be added to the best german Rock albums in 2011.

Sir G was born as Georg Lenhardt in Weimar in 1980 November the 27^th. He started to discover his musical affection in the age of 8 with his violin. Soon he realised, that a violin bow is not a good drumstick to beat cooking pots. So he got his first Amati drumkit in the age of 10. And the whole thing proceeded. His first heroes were drummers like Mitch Mitchel, Phil Collins, Lars Ullrich and others. Only the first few years he had regular lessons. He lost his teacher, because he skipped the gigs with the brass orchestra and rather listened to Heavy Metal. From now on he played in various bands (Sansara, Michael Lenhardt Band, Udo Hemman Band, Brainscan, Nathan Kracklauer, Hateful Birthday, Aromatic Groove) musicals and theaterprojects of the DNT Weimar. In November 1999 he did the first jamsessions with Fuchs of Die Apokalyptischen Reiter. As Skeleton was leaving the band in 2000 the horse was saddled for Sir G.

With the band`s growth, he more and more focused on the band-activities with DAR and became a professional drummer.
